Within the next two years, more than $100 million dollars will be directed toward the Horn of Africa to fund solutions for addressing drought. The Savory Institute participated in an exciting two-day event in Kenya this month that brought together Holistic Management educators as well as local and international NGOs to talk about ways to create and influence the policies and programs for this effort.
With this focus, the group worked to identify current projects, assess demand and identify solutions for increasing the capacity of trained Holistic Management practitioners and educators in the region. The group also discussed the Savory Institute’s long-term goal of establishing training hubs in Kenya and the Horn of Africa.
