Beach Codevilla
Communications Director
Beach Codevilla is president of The Codevilla Group, a strategic communications firm based in Boulder, Colorado and is managing communications efforts for the Savory Institute. She brings a wide range of political and nonprofit communication experience to her clients and provides a variety of services, including creating strategic communications plans, developing message platforms, writing and editing materials, leading trainings and conducting media outreach.
The Codevilla Group’s clients include the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Brainerd Foundation, the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition, Northern California Grantmakers, Justice at Stake, The Wilderness Society, Alaska Conservation Alliance and the Alaska Center for the Environment.
Before starting The Codevilla Group, Beach spent seven years as a senior vice president at Spitfire Strategies where her clients included the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Brainerd Foundation and the William Penn Foundation. Prior to Spitfire, Beach ran the Colorado office of Fenton Communications and worked for clients including the Outdoor Industry Foundation’s “Business for Wilderness” campaign.
Beach also spent three years at Squier Knapp Dunn Communications where she was responsible for the media strategy and advertising production for Governor Evan Bayh’s successful 1998 US Senate bid. She served as the campaign manager for Denver Congresswoman Diana DeGette’s 2000 re-election campaign and worked on both U.S. and international political campaigns for Ridder/Braden, Inc., a Denver-based survey research and grassroots organizing firm. In 2002 and 2004, she was the “Election Night” associate producer in Colorado for CBS Evening News.
Beach has an M.A. in professional communication from Clemson University and a B.A. in English from Vanderbilt University.
